Theater & Live Music
Enjoy mountain culture
Mono County has an impressive amount of theater and live music events for a county of its size! The best way to find them all is to search the events calendar, but for a quick overview:
June Lake
June Lake is home to the June Lake Loop Performing Arts Association (JLLOOPPAA), which puts on two main events each year -- the June Lake Theater Festival in July and the famous June Lake Jam Fest in September.
June Lake’s T-Bar Social Club is the community’s newest gathering place featuring live music and other events, like speakers and comedians, throughout the year.
Mammoth Lakes
Two theater companies call Mammoth Lakes home -- Sierra Classic Theatre and Mammoth Lakes Repertory Theatre. Both offer events throughout the year.
All summer long, weekend festivals are held in The Village at Mammoth featuring a variety of types of live music - Summer Jam, Mammoth Reggae Fest, Mammoth Rocks, Mammoth Margarita Fest, and more.
Mammoth Lakes also has two film festivals -- the Mammoth Film Festival in February and the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival in May -- and is home to Bluesapalooza, a hugely-popular blues music and beer festival put on every August by Mammoth Brewing Company.
And keep an eye on the events calendar for a few other notable film events in Mono and Inyo County: Mono Lake Committee's Wild and Scenic Film Festival, Mountainfilm on Tour, and the Backcountry Film Festival.
