Things to Do
Ice Skating
The LA Kings Ice at Mammoth Lakes is the spot to go ice skating in the Eastern Sierra. The Olympic-size indoor ice skating rink is in the Community Recreation Center. Public ice skating sessions are held seven days a week. Friday and Saturday Sessions run from noon to 10 pm. Ice skates and helmets are available for rent.
The Bridgeport Ice Skating Rink is an outdoor spot that is FREE of charge. Come enjoy traditional family fun at this outdoor ice rink. Located at the intersection of US 395 and Hwy 182.
In winters when the cold arrives before the snow, many of the high mountain lakes that are popular for fishing during the warm weather months can be fun and unique places to skate or play pick–up games of pond hockey. While skating on frozen lakes and ponds in the Eastern Sierra can be spectacular, safety should always be the first priority - please use extreme caution.
